The operational platform streamlines processes and also allows for instant, two-way communication between stores, customers, staff and management in real time.

International real estate advisor Savills, has launched their Savills Insights app in Italy for the first time. The instant, two-way communication app is provided by leading global proptech company, Mallcomm, who supported the Savills team with the successful launch. The PropTech trailblazer is focused on the Italian market and this new client continues to drive Mallcomms’ market share in the country.

The platform, which can be adapted to the specific needs of each location it is deployed in, was launched in Centro Leonardo shopping centre, Rome.

Tenant Communication

Despite the current global situation, the Mallcomm team were able to run a part-digital, part on-site launch which achieved an extraordinary 98% uptake with tenants. Tenants are now able to communicate with the centre team in a much more efficient way. Many core centre functions will be streamlined as they are digitised following the introduction of the platform.

While contributing to environmental responsibility by reducing paper communications, the centre team will experience increased tenant engagement as the platform facilitates.  Including sharing digital updates about promotions, events and centre operations. whilst enabling more effective operations of  cleaning, security and maintenance.

Benefits

“We have been working on developing Savills Insights, adapting this digital shopping centre property management tool to our Italian market”– says Yashar Deljoye Sabeti, Head of Marketing at Savills. “With the certainty that, after the launch of this innovative app, the traders involved will benefit from this tool on a daily basis. Just as it is already widely used in the UK, where this application was launched and tested by our colleagues. In a context in which unfortunately the contact between people must be safeguarded, we believe that an app that digitalises most of the daily and vital functions of a shopping mall is an additional help for the stores of Centro Leonardo.

Michelle Buxton, CEO of Mallcomm, said “Our company ethos is to help all properties where people work, live, play and learn by connecting people to places to create engaged communities and well managed locations. We are proud to have supported Savills with another very successful launch into another new country. Through working together, Mallcomm and Savills have developed a platform which creates efficiencies and operational benefits in any location.”
