Mallcomm Take Part in Volunteer Day With Suffolk Wildlife Trust

On the 10th February members from all departments of the Mallcomm UK team volunteered for the Suffolk Wildlife Trust at Knettishall Heath Nature Reserve, our work consisted of removing and cutting back encroaching scrub from the rare heathland found on site.

Breckland is one of the UK’s biodiversity hotspots and Knettishall Heath is in fact a diverse mosaic of habitats with riverside and woodland meadows extending over 430 acres.

The Wildlife Trust makes a difference for Suffolk by securing a bigger, better and more connected landscape for wildlife and by inspiring the next generation through hands-on experiences with nature. In this sense their nature reserves work as ecological hubs and The Trust works closely with neighbouring landowners, communities and partner organisations to create swathes of wildlife-rich countryside where  wildlife can spill out into the wider landscape- a Living Landscape.

At Mallcomm we’re constantly thinking of new, innovative ways of how we can be as responsible as possible. Sustainability sits at the heart of our business, with our main goal being to achieve a better and more sustainable future. In addition to our local ESG efforts, we also endeavour to reflect this goal in how the Mallcomm platform benefits the real estate industry.

We really enjoyed getting stuck into our volunteering day and we look forward to many more to come!
