Our multi-device solution is the technology, which all of our global clients use to manage and operate their assets, and engage with their communities. Mallcomm acts as a core operating system for real estate. We enable asset owners and operators to optimise their physical spaces and enhance their tenant experience.
Our technology provides the tools and insights to reduce cost, lower risk and increase revenue and is present in over 24 different countries.
We are looking for a skilled Business Development Manager. As a direct report of the Global EVP Commercial, they will be an important contributor to the planned growth of Mallcomm over the next five years.
The primary focus of the role will be to identify, acquire and nurture desirable new clients in territory within the USA. These clients will have the potential to become material contributors to Mallcomm’s onwards growth.
The role will report directly to the Bobby Paulus Global EVP Commercial.
The role will have no direct reports.
- Identifying buyers or influencers in each of the target clients using relevant tools.
- Identifying target set of desirable clients based on agreed attractiveness criteria in the territory.
- Building appropriate insight on these target clients/individuals to tailor initial GTM approach.
- Supporting completion of pre-tender engagement and tender submissions.
- Building an understanding of client’s requirements and needs through initial discovery meetings.
- Leading client pitches and technical demos to target clients.
- Proactively pursuing target clients through disciplined execution of the sales process to acquire a target number of new client acquisitions per quarter.
- Support initial product implementations through to completion.
- Developing early relationships within newly acquired client accounts.
- Increasing client’s awareness of, and early engagement with, Mallcomm products.
- Timely, accurate, and consistent recording of all business development activity and intelligence in CRM.
- Meet short term goals around territory build, outreach, pipeline build and progression – over the first 16 weeks.
- Commercial Real Estate sector or Enterprise level SaaS solutions.
- CRM software is preferred (Hubspot).
- Working with Google suite an advantage.
- Able to demonstrate your ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders, including executive and C-level.
- Expert in territory development skills including, building lists, persona targets, best practice outreach, follow up, and securing initial calls/meetings – to gain interest and understand client requirements.
- Proven flair for client communication and understanding client behaviour and value proposition / objectives – a great “StoryTeller”.
- Ability to navigate multiple products and clients needs
- Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office/Google Suite (specific focus on Google Slides/PowerPoint and Google Sheets/Excel).
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal.
- Capable of listening, negotiation with great presentation abilities.
- Proven experience working as a Growth Manager, Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager or relevant role.
- Ideally BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field.
- Relevant experience in working with C-Level clients, including Enterprise level solutions.
