As part of Mallcomm’s ESG strategy we have been aiming to become a carbon neutral company, and we are proud to announce we have now been awarded a Carbon Neutral Britain Certification! Not only that – but we are also now officially a carbon negative company, meaning we have offset more than the emissions of the business!
Carbon Neutral Britain is the UK’s Leading Carbon Offsetting Initiative – allowing individuals and businesses to offset their environmental impact. Increased Carbon Dioxide (CO²) emissions in the atmosphere are the biggest cause of Global Warming on our Planet. By planting trees and funding carbon offsetting projects, we remove and prevent further CO² emissions around the globe in the most cost effective and impactful way.
We have to follow 3 steps annually in order to be classified as a carbon neutral business:
Step 1 – Calculate
Carbon Neutral Britain’s expert team calculated our carbon footprint, measured in tonnes of carbon dioxide equivelant (tCO²e) for the previous year.
Step 2 – Offset
Our carbon footprint was offset by supporting certified projects around the world to reverse our total tCO²e emissions.
Step 3 – Certify
Once offset, we became certified.
